Sampson Ogbemudje

Managing Partner

Sampson Ogbemudje is a Managing Partner at Ogbemudje, Omezi & Co. He graduated from the University of Benin and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987. With legal experience of over thirty-five years, he is well-grounded in real estate and corporate law and has proved competent in all ramifications.

In 1994, he co-founded Ogbemudje, Omezi & Company and has been in active legal practice ever since. He is a property and real estate law guru. He has negotiated and closed million-dollar deals on behalf of clients and has, over time, gained the trust of hundreds of clients by standing out in terms of integrity, character, and professionalism.

Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) — former Chairman of the Human Rights Committee, NBA Ikeja branch, and Vice Chairman of the branch (1997–1998). Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Okechukwu Omezi is a Managing Partner at Ogbemudje, Omezi & Co. He graduated from the University of Benin and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987. With almost four decades of legal expertise, he has proved indispensable in his dealings with a wide range of clients — including private and public institutions — operating across industries on issues arising from all spheres of the legal profession, including dispute resolution, corporate law, property, aviation, maritime, and energy law.

He co-founded Ogbemudje, Omezi & Company in 1994. He possesses vast experience in dealing with government and regulatory agencies across sectors in Nigeria and is skilled in resolving complexities that usually arise from such engagements.

His charisma, integrity, and intelligence have earned him a well-deserved seat as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Eterna Plc since 2022 to date; Chairman, High Flyers Estate Ltd, since 2011 to date; Non-Executive Director of Media Monitoring Services, Ghana Ltd. since 2023 to date; and Non-Executive Director of Media Monitoring Services, Nigeria Ltd. since 2024 to date.

Elemi is an expert in the corporate and property space with a firm focus on real property transactions, including perfection of title. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Benin and also holds a Master's degree in Law (LLM) from Lagos State University, Nigeria.

With over two decades of legal expertise, she is known for her in-depth understanding of corporate restructuring and company secretarial functions and has honed her expertise advising clients in land, tenancy, and corporate matters. She assists clients with perfection of land documents, drafting land and tenancy documents, and recovery of premises matters.
